A strong, professional skill set is a must for a Musical Theatre performer, however to us that not only means being a triple threat but also having an individual identity with the ability to create and produce your own innovative work.

Our intensive 3-year BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre course offers the opportunity for aspiring performs to develop, acquire, and refine the necessary technical and artistic skills to become professional musical theatre performers. Alongside this it will provide you with a clear contextual understanding of the wider industry to support your progression into employment to ensure a sustainable career.

Throughout your training, you’ll explore the core techniques of acting, voice and dance, whilst developing a wide range of knowledge in devising, developing a production, Musical Theatre for stage and screen, audition and casting techniques which will be delivered by a range of qualified and specialist professional practitioners. Additionally, you’ll have regular performance opportunities throughout the programme to help develop a diverse range of technical performance skills, preparing you for the industry.

Successful completion of our 3-year BA (Hons) provides the platform for aspiring performers to begin their professional career in Musical Theatre and its associated pathways. For those students wishing to continue their education into the postgraduate sector Shockout also had a fast-growing postgraduate provision to accommodate student’s needs.
