Being a large student city, Manchester has many properties catering particularly to student needs. It can be daunting to decide on a place to live if you’re new to Manchester and don’t know anybody yet. That’s why at Shockout, we recommend booking at our preferred student homes: True Student, X1 Chapel Street and Manchester Court. You can choose from a flat in a multi-bedroom apartment to a studio apartment. Most of our students stay in one of these student homes, especially on their first year, and when possible are grouped with their fellow classmates . You’ll be sure to meet some of your best dance friends here!

True Student Accomodation

True Student accommodation in Media City, Salford which is only 10 minutes away from The Valo building. True Student accommodation is a very spacious building. There is a gym, a cafe, quiet spaces to work, roof terrace, game nights, 24 hour concierge so will receive all your deliveries and let you know when they arrive, laundry service.  Its a 4 minute walk to Anchorage Metrolink stop where you can catch a tram to Old Trafford station which is a 1 minute walk from Valo building.

• True Studio room – your own double bed with private ensuite bathroom and kitchenette which comes equipped.
• True apartment room – your own double bed with private ensuite bathroom and a shared kitchen which comes equipped.

So whether you want to have your own space completely or have that more communal feel where you will be with other Shockout students. Then these are your choices. Rooms are from £202.50 per week. There are no contracts.

X1 Chapel Street or X1 Campus Manchester

X1 Chapel Street or X1 The Campus in Salford is a 20 minute walk to city centre. Metrolink stops, then you can jump on the Altrincham line 10 minutes direct to Old Trafford stop. There is a nearby bus stop so you can easily travel to and from the city centre.  It offers en-suite bedrooms in 3, 4, or 5-bedroom apartments, as well as 1-bedroom apartments with prices ranging from £180-250 pw.

Please Note : anyone applying for our BTEC courses,  X1 is currently the only student accommodation taking on under 18s.

Westpoint

Located in the heart of Trafford, Westpoint provides residents with a modern and stylish living experience, with views over Manchester United’s football ground and the city centre.
