Associate Programme

Our Aim:

Shockout Associates is an exclusive programme designed for talented dancers aged 11-18 who are looking to further refine their skills and expand their training. This programme is ideal for individuals already committed to another dance school, offering them the chance to train at an advanced level and elevate their technique in a supportive environment.

It also provides fantastic opportunity for those considering our BTEC or undergraduate courses to experience training at Shockout. Shockout Associates is a selective, one-year programme that takes places once a month. With only a limited number of places available, students train in a small, focused group, ensuring they receive tailored guidance to help them reach their full potential.

What we Expect:

Discipline & Behaviour

We believe that a positive and respectful environment is essential for the learning and wellbeing of our students.

Good behaviour and unwavering commitment is always expected, and we do not tolerate any form of gossiping, bullying or abuse.

Uniform

We follow a strict uniform policy to ensure a high level of focus, discipline and etiquette within classes. This aligns with the level of expectation on our BTEC and undergraduate courses.

A full uniform checklist will be sent upon enrolment.

How to apply

To join the programme, all prospective students must audition. We hold auditions twice a year: September and January.

Final audition for 2024-2025: Saturday, 25^th January 2025, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The audition is free of charge, and students do not need to prepare anything in advance. During the audition, students will be observed during the day’s classes.

Our Facilities

At our brand new campus, the Valo Building, we offer high-quality training for both undergraduate and postgraduate students in the arts. This state-of-the-art facility is strategically situated next to Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester. During the week, the Valo Building is the vibrant hub for Shockout Arts courses.

The Valo Building boasts 12 brand new soundproof and sprung floor studios, and a built-in theatre. These specialized studios offer an exceptional learning environment, enabling students to immerse themselves in their creative disciplines.
