Associate Programme

Our Aim:

Here at Shockout Associate, we wish to provide a programme for raw- talented individuals who would like to take their training to the next step. We would like to build upon their foundations and the knowledge they have gained so far within their own self practice by intensifying their level of training with our own Shockout syllabus work in genres of dance such as commercial, ballet technique, jazz technique and hip-hop foundations.

We wish to develop an individual’s understanding within the core values and expectations of the commercial dance industry as well as the knowledge and development of hip-hop foundational training, jazz technique and industry practice. We aim to elevate our youth by pushing them through their paces within a training day which can offer a diverse and full range of classes twice a month.

Whilst open to everyone, Shockout Associates is a selective programme with only a limited number of places available. The opportunity to audition will be listed under a first come first serve basis and audition dates and times will be provided on our website.

What we offer:

We would like to offer a one-year training programme, which will take place the last Saturday of every month, 11.00-5.00PM. . The students will also receive the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals from all over the nation, who can offer a calibre of professional scenarios and dance training which will motivate and allow insight to the expectations of the dance world.

What We Expect:

Expanding on the individual’s skillset and self-knowledge, along with the combination of raw- talent, ability and passion, we expect you to enhance your skillset by following our own Shockout syllabus training work within your own time. We expect our students to continue their dance practice outside of Shockout Associates as well as commit to us for two days of a month.

We expect the highest level of commitment and discipline whilst working with us within the studio as well as outside establishments and events.

Shockout Associates will be open to dancers that are 14+ years old.

Uniform Expectations:

We follow a strict uniform policy to ensure a high level of discipline, grooming, behaviour and professionalism to co- inside with our level of expectation within our educational programmes offered within Shockout Arts such as our BTEC Diploma courses and BA Hons Degree Courses. On acceptance of your place within Shockout Associate you will receive an Associate pack which will provide a uniform list and order form.
