Strong Dancer Programme
Through both on-site support and access to healthcare professionals within leading sector organisations, we will empower you to enhance your performance and learn to take control of your wellbeing.
Throughout your vocational training, both the artistic teaching team and dedicated specialists informed by medical insight and research, will educate you on how to become strong, healthy and resilient dancers, equipped to cope with the considerable demands training, rehearsing and performing can place on you.
The Programme includes:
- On-site fitness and wellbeing club
- Pilates instructors
- Strength and conditioning programmes, workshops and classes
- Counselling and Psychological support
- Physiotherapists
- Nutrition and hydration programmes, workshops and classes
- Individual healthcare screening and profiling
Counselling
As well as onsite support , Shockout students going through a tough time can now access free online support with a new service, Big White Wall.
Whether they are stressed, struggling to sleep, feeling low or not coping, Big White Wall helps them take control, feel better and supported.
The anonymous service provides round-the-clock online peer and professional support, with trained counsellors 365 days a year. It provides a safe space online for students to get things off their chest, explore feelings, learn how to improve and self-manage their mental health and well-being.
