MA Dance (Specialist Title)

Designed to give the student the edge to succeed in the busy performing arts marketplace, the MA Dance (Specialist Title) will allow recent graduates and working professionals to further develop, enhance and increase their professional practical and creative skills, alongside developing and strengthening their critical analytical and skills to sustain and enhance career longevity.

This programme is designed to cultivate the independent artist and challenge the conventions of dance, enabling students to enhance their professional profile and practice across all aspects of the dance arena. Students will be able to choose a specialist area of practice to explore this through either a practical or academic route specific to their area of practice and interest at Masters level.

Examples of areas of specialism include dance education, commercial dance, ballet, global and digital marketing and dancer mental health and well-being. This course is validated by the University of Bolton.

Requirements

  • All applicants will be required to undertake an audition and interview process.
  • Applicants are normally required to have a 2:1 undergraduate classification.
  • Applications from mature students without the required entry qualifications will be considered
  • Alternative qualifications and/or professional industry experience may be considered.
  • If English is not your first language you will need to complete a Secure English Language Test at IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
