Luther Ambassador Programme
GLOBAL AMBASSADOR PROGRAMME
The Shockout Global Ambassador Programme is a brand-new, exclusive initiative giving selected Shockout students and graduates access to the international entertainment industry at the very highest level.
Created in partnership with internationally acclaimed and multi Emmy Award nominee, choreographer and creative director Luther Brown, the programme provides multiple students each year with the opportunity to travel to Los Angeles and work directly alongside Luther on a professional project, stepping beyond the studio and directly into the environments where global entertainment is being created.
Luther is one of the most influential creative forces in commercial dance and entertainment, with credits spanning some of the biggest artists and productions in the world. His work includes collaborations with Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj, Gwen Stefani, Ciara, Doja Cat and Christina Aguilera, alongside major television credits including So You Think You Can Dance and more.
And when a student is selected, Shockout funds the opportunity, removing the financial barrier to accessing an experience of this scale.
The programme is already creating extraordinary opportunities. Its first placement saw a graduating Shockout student flown to Los Angeles to shadow Luther as he worked alongside Gwen Stefani, gaining first-hand access to the creative process surrounding a major international artist and production.
This isn’t an observation exercise created inside a training environment. It is real-world access to working professionals, live projects and the global industry.
Through the Global Ambassador Programme, Shockout is creating a direct bridge between the talent developing in Manchester and the professional opportunities waiting in Los Angeles and beyond.
Fully funded. Internationally connected. Exclusively at Shockout.
INDUSTRY MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME
At Shockout, training is only part of the journey. Our responsibility is to help students understand where that training can take them.
The Shockout Industry Mentorship Programme gives students direct access to professional guidance throughout their training, led by industry professionals whose work spans Broadway, the West End, commercial entertainment and international live production.
For Third Year students, mentorship becomes particularly focused: identifying individual strengths, establishing career direction, preparing professional materials and, crucially, connecting training to real commercial opportunities before graduation.
The programme has already helped create direct professional pathways across Shockout’s disciplines.
Commercial Dance students have secured opportunities performing with global artists including Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Tiwa Savage. Musical Theatre graduates have progressed into leading roles and major productions across the West End and UK touring sector, including Sea Witch and Burlesque. Within Hip Hop, mentorship and industry relationships have created direct connections and opportunities with companies including Far From The Norm.
And that access isn’t reserved for graduating students. Opportunities are actively created across every year of training when a student is ready for them.
Through individual mentoring, industry preparation, professional introductions and live opportunities, Shockout works to ensure students aren’t simply preparing for an industry they will encounter after graduation. They begin building their place within it while they are here.
