BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Performing Arts Practice (Dance) Specialising in Street & Hip Hop Dance

At Shockout, our fully funded two-year BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Performing Arts Practice (Dance) specialising in Hip Hop and Street Dance, provides a unique and intensive educational experience. Over the two years, students will be introduced to core Street and Hip Hop Dance styles, such as Breaking, Popping, Locking, Hip Hop freestyle, House, fostering a holistic understanding of these elements.

We go beyond technique by immersing students in the rich history of Street and Hip Hop Dance. Understanding the cultural and socio-economic contexts that shaped these art forms is integral to our holistic approach. The historical knowledge equips students with a deeper appreciation of the cultural significance and evolution of these dance styles.

Upon completion of the course, students will be awarded a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts (Dance) Specialising in Street and Hip Hop Dance. 

Requirements

Entry Requirements for Students at Shockout Academy BTEC 3 Extended Diploma Performing Arts Professional Dance

At least 5 GCSEs grades A*-C, including include English and/or Math’s and/or relevant Level 2 qualifications such as BTEC Diploma / Certificate / Extended Certificate. Applicants without formal academic qualifications that demonstrate experience and/or exceptional potential can also be considered.

In addition you will be required to attend an audition as part of the application process. The quality of the audition is the primary basis on which applicants, with at least the minimum entry requirements, are selected.

  2. After your Application is received you will be sent an email and be allocated an audition date
  3. Confirm your audition date
  4. Attend your confirmed audition date
  5. You will then receive a letter offering you a conditional or unconditional offer
  6. You must then confirm or reject your place
